We woke up yesterday to the tragic news of the passing of the sole heir to one of the greatest singers of all time.

But accompanying this, you may have seen the out-pouring of mixed emotion messages such as Oprah who tweeted:

“Peace at Last! #BobbiKristina

Kristini Bobbi Brown seems to be another victim of the roller-coaster that is Hollywood.

Between addiction, allegations of domestic violence preceding this tragically premature death: it took only three years for young Bobbi Kristina Brown to follow her mother’s tragic footsteps to the grave.

Only 22 and already shouldering a lifetime of hurt on her young shoulders, Bobbi Kristina Brown died on 26 July, surrounded by family and friends, after six months in a medically induced coma.

Much like her mother Whitney Housten, who was found dead in a bathtub in 2011, Bobbi was discovered battered and bruised, facedown in the surface of a tub this January.

The three years since her mother’s death have been severe for Bobbi, who degenerated into drug abuse, reportedly going in and out of rehab, until she was discovered, unresponsive, days before the anniversary of her mother’s death.

Bobbi may also have been the victim of an abusive relationship that left her with, “substantial bodily harm” in an altercation that led to her being found “face down in a bathtub, with her mouth swollen and another tooth knocked out”, according to a civil lawsuit filed against her boyfriend Nick Gordon earlier this year.

The many professions of grief for Bobbi and her family are mixed in with hopefully wishes that she may find the peace that escaped her for the past three years.

To the Brown family, these years have taken their toll: “She is finally at peace in the arms of God.”
